daisy crit

Above is the total rendering that was asked for us for today.

Daisy Had a lot of good criticism, we can summarize as follows:

- We should try to create better lighting quality within the levels
- We can do this by cutting out hexagons to create inner atriums
- We should develop the bracing system for the detail rendering
- We should also include a rendering that shows some interior walls
- We should continue to organize the program like we have above but more detailed
- We could shorten the columns at times so they shade more of the levels

Final Program

So after working on the program for a few hours, we finally decided and agreed on the program. That was because we believed our program has a lot of unresolved issues. We separated the different programs on different levels depending on its use. From there, we calculated the total square footage for each floor, added the 20% for circulation and walls, then took the total and figured out how many hexagons was needed for each floor.

Development Update

Here are the renderings we had for our studio display on wednesday.

From here we went on to
Reorganize our levels and program.
Detail the bracing holding the whole system together.
Detail a railing system that works better with the shading towers.
Giving more attention to detail as far as the interior conditions and floor treatment.

Here are the original renderings:

Here is our new railings, and deck treatment:

this is the section we have in mind now, considering the bracing that's going to keep the whole system rigid using the same angled steel that's making up the railings.

We also updated our shading towers by removing the point at the end, i guess well choose between keeping them or not in the near future.

We plan on having a view to depict the thick glass forest effect the shading towers create but this view hasn't been fully developed yet. Here's a start.
